ROSS ISLAND
Daughter, it’s time now to look at growth?
What areas are flourishing, and what areas still needing pruning?
As I sit beside Yahshua, I ponder His Questions and I am given a picture within my mind. What we are given, we are to share so consider this message for you too!
Vision:
I see a river flowing in the far north corner of this very large garden. I get up from the bench and wander towards the water, carefully choosing my path. I look down to find areas of green growth within a rich looking soil and then other areas of complete dryness that need attention. Over all, I am pleased. It’s a vibrant growing garden with a stream of flowing water. The bees are buzzing, dragonflies and hummingbirds are all working among it. It feels alive.
As I reach the North end, I am faced with a flood of light. The flowers are growing wild in a huge spectacle of colors while the insects and birds are busy pollinating them. A pool of water has formed here and appears to have divided the mature growth from the immature growth.
I turn back towards the southern portion of the garden which is dimly lite. There are very few flowers. I am an avid gardener and I can see soil amendments are needed to cultivate this portion of the garden but the real issue is water. The trickle of water coming down from the North is not proportional to the gardens immense size. As I am about to put these thoughts to action, I am interrupted by The Lord.
“Angela, My Living Water flows to all portions of the garden.”
Immediately, His Light drenches my view with a warm golden glow transforming every weed into a lush green growth. Yellow, purple and red blossoms begin appearing into poppy flowers. Birds are chirping and insects are buzzing in cheerfulness. Even the hanging vines are budding right before my eyes with fruit bursting from every vine. I feel a warmth building within myself as I watch in wonder.
Then, a clever spotlight shines on a hidden stone path that winds past the garden tempting my most sensible-self to enter it’s course.
I turn to the Lord and with a smile Yahshua says, “The path to Ross Island.”
We all know the Lord works in mysterious ways and this means we must search out everything we are given and this includes His riddles.
In God’s Word, the cedar of Lebanon is a wood prized for its strength, fragrance and durability when King Solomon builds the Temple. Today’s message regarding the cedar garden bench represents not only God’s presence but the need for resilience to stand firm in faith to walk with His spirit.
The garden is a place found within a believer. Each of us must evaluate our garden to find the immature areas that require healing & restoration from The Lord.
And the Child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on Him. (Luke 2:40 NIV)
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52 NIV)
If you were puzzled by Ross Island, you aren’t alone!
I began researching a few days ago and found the word “island” 44 times in the Bible. The bible consistently portrays islands as part of God’s redemption plan.
However, islands can also symbolize isolation and be depicted as a place of waiting for the revelation of God’s power and salvation. A reference to sitting alone with the Lord for His healing Power.
Isaiah 49:1 calls out, "Listen to Me, O islands, pay attention, you peoples from afar. The LORD called Me from the womb; from the body of My mother He named Me."
Prophetically, islands are associated with the hope of the nations turning back to God.
Isaiah 60:9 proclaims, "Surely the islands will wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you."
The name Ross is Gaelic for a "promontory" or "headland". The geographical Ross Island can be found in Ireland. I found an article in which the small island town transitioned from a metal working era to copper mining. This change was monumental to its society. The significant change was described as a shift from the stone-age to the gold-age.
I love the symbolism of turning hearts of stone to GOLD by entering ROSS ISLAND!
This is restoration, deliverance and redemption by God’s Spirit upon all flesh!
I am thrilled by this message. I hope you are encouraged to seek the Lord and learn to hear Him speak to your heart even if that means a time of isolation. Ask Him today to lead you to your hidden path of Ross Island where hearts of stone are turned to GOLD!
I am praying God’s Blessings over you today. I feel the weight of many waiting on unanswered prayers! I pray The Lord answers you today as you seek Him by surrendering any and all resistance within your minds.
Remember, this weeks reading of the Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 6:20 MSG says:
The next time your child asks you, “What do these requirements and regulations and rules that GOD, our God, has commanded mean?” tell your child, “We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt and GOD powerfully intervened and got us out of that country. We stood there and watched as GOD delivered miracle-signs, great wonders, and evil-visitations on Egypt, on Pharaoh and his household. He pulled us out of there so he could bring us here and give us the land he so solemnly promised to our ancestors. That’s why GOD commanded us to follow all these rules, so that we would live reverently before GOD, our God, as he gives us this good life, keeping us alive for a long time to come.
We are to love God, think constantly about Him, His commandments [word], teach them to our children & grandchildren, and live each day in the Presence of GOD, our God, just as he commanded us to do.

Dear Yahweh, We come before You with open hearts filled with love for you. Help us to be sensitive to Your Spirit’s leading by removing anything in us that resists Your voice so our hearts align with Yours. Awaken us to the areas that keep us from rising up as your light in the world. Let us become the generation who walk in wholehearted truth, love, and power making us your vessels of Glory! Let Your kingdom come, and let Your will be done—in us, through us, and in this our nation.
