STRIKE THE WATER

For there is a water crisis in the world today. We have determined that we have entered a “turning point” after Charlie’s assignation and this feels both exciting and yet absolutely necessary.

Thus says the Lord: By this you shall know that I am the Lord; behold, I will strike the waters that are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood.”– Exodus 7:17

Exodus 7:17 illustrates a turning point in the narrative of the Israelites’ liberation from Egyptian bondage. There is a water crisis, and YAH’s commands Moses to draw water from the rock. Moses fails to sanctify YAH’s name and strikes the rock instead. He is punished by YAH and not allowed to enter the Land of Israel.

The bible describes who the rock is in scripture.

They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:3-4

For us today, striking the rock is symbolic of the first stage of a believer’s salvation, it starts with the death of Jesus Christ for all mankind, going on to shed his blood for the atonement of sin. The blood that flows through him is the blood that cleanses us from our unrighteousness.

So YAH was trying to make it clear to Moses and the elders what the rock symbolizes. The water coming from the rock symbolizes two things which are; his blood and the living waterThe rock was Jesus. People needed to be saved from thirst, what came out of that rock is more than water, it was spiritual water.

We are in the midst of the Ten Days of Awe, the most sacred stretch of time in the Hebrew calendar, moving toward Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Yom Kippur is unique among the biblical festivals. It is not a feast but a fast, a day set apart for humility, confession, and reconciliation with God and neighbor.

If we look at how God commanded Moses, we see the display of His might and authority. A reminder that God’s Will cannot be neglected. Galatians 6:7. His power was evident in the physical transformation of the Nile River, serving as a crucial lesson for us to learn about His divine path.

This week while seeking The Father, I have been praying about areas in my life that consistently seem untouched by God’s grace. I began asking YAH if there is a spiritual law at work that is hindering areas of land that seem to never heal!

I heard him say within His Word, “Do not seek to hear out of fear, but believe that He will give you the wisdom you need. Rest and listen with peaceful expectation. Believe that He awakens your ear to hear Him (Isaiah 50:5).”

This “new” thing is happening right now within YAH’s church. The veil becomes very thin when we seek repentance. To become transformed in Christ it’s important to recognize YAH’s divine authority. He ordains every thing even when our circumstances speak otherwise. To walk this out… takes courage, humility and self-denial. Luke 9.

This is the move of YAH right now! How exciting! As we leave some dead things behind a new path of adventures is revealed.

It can feel scary and be compared to walking off a cliff because the new path is filled with uncertainties. The good news is that YAH is a master at successfully leading His children through change and into a higher level of living.

Many of my blog posts as well as some famous prophetic voices are all reporting we have stepped over the threshold to enter into a period for the body of Christ.

When we are transitioning from the old to the new, we have to be aware that we will be living in both the old and the new at the same time. It won’t be called transition, it will be called “something new”!

So how does this NEW path go…. It goes by experiencing something like 80% old and 20% of the new in our lives. As we continue forth, the new will increase and the old decreases. Thank you YAH! This is extremely important to understand and to be constantly in prayer about. Unless we have a heavenly perspective, we can be disillusioned and our faith is challenged and can hinder our transformation. Acts 16

Let’s consider the farmer again because as the body of Christ, we are all spiritual farmers. If we walk in wisdom, we will deliberately, regularly and cheerfully plant seeds into the spirit realm. After the farmer plants seed, he patiently waits for his new crops to grow. He knows that he is moving from being unfruitful to fruitful. His faith is not passive as he actively pulls weeds and waters the seeds planted. He does not lose heart because of the delay of seeing his harvest manifest.

Just like the farmer, we will have to deal with weeds that spring up during the time of waiting for our new harvest to come. (See my Arborist Apprentice post.) These weeds are like roses disguised as something good but as they spring up their thorns are sharp and can cause pain. These thorns are the result of seeds we have sown in the past that spring up during our time of transition.

Talking about it is tricky. I don’t want to create negative expectations or Negative Seeds and I don’t want to limit YAH’s ability to immediately cancel bad seeds we have sown in the past but it’s important time of year to sit and meditate in YAH’s word so the Holy Spirit can guide each of us in our spiritual growth!

YAH is so merciful and has done this many times. He promises to meet all our needs “according to His riches in glory” (Philippians 4:19). And as the kingdom keeps advancing, we will see blessings like supernatural debt cancellation increase more and more.

We rejoice in this, but we also tap into God’s grace to face the weeds and thorns of frustration that come in our circumstances that emerge in our transition time.

Meditate on His peace and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:8). “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Remember, as we transition to a higher place in our spiritual life, it’s important to keep the faith in spite of negative circumstances and to declare with our mouth that our harvest is coming. Our words are powerful, do not speak against what God is trying to bless you with! Keep your “forehead like flint” a phrase found in Ezekiel, Chapter 3 which signifies that we are unyielding to opposition. We must be determined to find our path to the “New” no matter our challenges.

The time gap between sowing and reaping further challenges our beliefs, and, if we are not careful, we can move into doubt. We need to remember that just as a farmer must have faith that the planted seed will grow, we too must believe that our sown seed is growing in the unseen realm and will manifest in the visible. Yes, the persistent will see and release the goodness of God. Let’s it be Done on earth as it is in Heaven! Amen!

As we reflect on this scripture, may we be encouraged to pay attention to the signs of God in our lives. Let us also remember the importance of responding to His call and trusting in His plans, even when they lead us through discomfort or uncertainty.

If you’d like to learn more about related events leading up to this monumental occasion in the history of Israel, feel free to explore Exodus 7:16 and Exodus 7:18, which provide further context and understanding surrounding Pharaoh’s encounters with Moses and God’s mighty works. We are all on a journey, filled with lessons and divine guidance, encouraged to embrace our role in fulfilling God’s purpose.
