THE FARMER AWAITS THE LATTER RAIN
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman [farmer] waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:7
Winds and waters move at The Lord’s command, whether for the deliverance of his people or for the destruction of his foes. The outpouring of the Holy spirit begins at His Well to find it’s flow each of us must bury the hatchet.
This week, we felt Heaven’s sorrow of a great truth seeker named Charlie. This level we felt for even those who did not know Charlie is of the Holy Spirit. It’s for a believer at conversion to be likened to a well of water. This was what Jesus was talking about in His discourse with the Samaritan woman in John chapter 4.
This outpouring is the initial stage and is very much limited in what can be accomplished since power cannot be generated from a well of water.
If we look to Abraham, he built many good wells in his days; but after his death we are told that the philistines had filled them in. Isaac found he had to dig them again before he could take advantage of the refreshing waters that laid buried under the rocks and dirt and filth which the enemy had tossed into the wells.
So it is with the church of Christ, and the fountain which Christ has created in the heart of his people that all the potentialities of this new-life and this new experience are right in our hearts, locked up like the germ-life in the seed.
We thank YAH for the taste we have had from the fountain of living water. But Jesus has promised, "The water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life " (John 4: 14).
Sad until this last week, the body of Christ has been like the fountain in the Songs of Songs, "A spring-shut up, a fountain sealed" (Songs 4: 12). YAH’s fountain or hydrant in my dream, has been shut up, sealed, frozen over. "A well of water leaping up into everlasting life...." is Christ's promise to His people.
If you are content with the Passover experience, this is not for you! Such contentment within oneself only proves that the Rivers of living water has ceased to flow from their souls; for this Fountain that Christ places within, if not cluttered up with the mire of the Philistines, is a fountain that is constantly leaping up into everlasting life. See my devotional post regarding trees within our soul.
I feel the Lord saying, “LET IT FLOW…. - let it surge forward until it becomes a mighty river in this desert of sin, sickness and sorrow”.
YAH is announcing THE TIME IS NOW-conditions are just right, let us reap. "We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus...." (Eph. 2:10). We are the product of His hand. He comes to us, He becomes in us the seed, then He visits us periodically-"His times of refreshing which come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).
Those not willing to cleanse their well, cannot reside in Goshen where hail has never been seen. Exodus 9:26
God has promised to do something most unusual; for He would give, not only the former rain which belongs to that month, but He would give the former rain and the latter rain combined!
Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. Joel 2:23
His Rain comes when we move beyond just trying to die to ourselves and begin to learn how to live as partakers of the divine nature. This when we will see the true revealing of the children of God. “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19).
It will not only come to fulfill a great and glorious harvest, as in Pentecost but through the wonderful harvest of Tabernacles, the Feast of Ingathering. All the glory and power of the early church COMBINED with all the glory and power which rightfully belongs to the triumphant church of the last days!
The word NOW....IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND!
