When God closes one door, He opens another. Revelation 3:7

This week while the Holy Spirit was outpouring across the earth, the accuser has been busy recking havoc stealing my sleep.

I found myself waking up about every hour with thoughts whirling in my mind. I kept hearing “self indulgence” to such an abysmal level I felt there was no present and no future, only remembrances of a happy past. These crazy thoughts came like bullets all night until I recognized the spirit of condemnation. I renounced the spirit by repentance something I was taught by the Holy Spirit with a vision given in the Court of Heaven

I discovered, if we repent whether it’s our sin or someone in our bloodline, the accuser forfeits his foothold. I was exonerated for my self indulgence also known as complacency in the courts of heaven. Within minutes, sleep was granted to me once again. Hallelujah!

The following morning, exhausted I sought The Spirit of the Lord and I heard, “Stop lingering in the lowlands”.

To be clear, lingering in the lowlands is not living our best life. The lowlands are mentioned in several passages throughout the Old Testament. The children of Israel, put up tents in the lowlands of Moab just on the other side of the Jordan at Jericho.

One significant reference is found in Joshua 10:40, where Joshua's conquests are described: "So Joshua struck the whole land—the hill country, the Negev, the foothills, and the slopes, with all their kings, leaving no survivors, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded." Here, the "foothills" (often translated as "lowlands") are part of the territories conquered by Joshua as the Israelites took possession of the Promised Land.

I have to admit the lowland went deeper than my moral character and I was unable to take possession of my thoughts. Camping in the lowlands means our viewpoint is blocked by the rolling hills landscape. If you and I stay here among these rolling hills, we toss and turn never to receive Yah’s divine promises to be fulfilled in our lives.

It’s a battle we must learn to rise too because our fallen nature does not have God’s conceptions or standards. You see, the lowlands represent both the physical and spiritual battlegrounds where our faith and mindsets are tested.

God’s thoughts are very different from our thoughts because He has a completely different view point. In fact, our viewpoint often allows what God would never allow! We judge one way and God judges a completely different way. We must climb up the mountain out of the lowlands to come to stand with God to see His Standpoint.

To be honest over the last few weeks since Charlie’s death, the steepness and ruggedness of YAH’s Mountain has discouraged me.

As I took time with The Lord, I heard him say, “ I Am raising a remnant who will know how to fight!”

The Word of God is the grid through which the Spirit transforms us. But the Word is more than that. It is revelation; it is how God has chosen to reveal Himself so that His Spirit can bring life to us and we can ascend His Mountain.

Without His Holy Spirit guidance and assistance, we end up exhausted in our battles never knowing or experiencing the glory that awaits us!

Paul wrote, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15).

So if you’re finding yourself in a battle, I believe The Lord is saying, “Walk before Me”!

Stop worrying about any man or human standard where we hear things like “there is no harm in it”, “so-and-so does it” or “it is quite a common practice”. These are all snares of the accuser.

Instead, “Walk before Me", says the Lord.

Listen to what the Lord is saying! This issue is deeper than our intellect and our reasoning. We have got to get this message in the spirit, in our inward man. Otherwise there is no point in it being in the Bible at all, if our moral standards can rise to God's satisfaction - why must we be so handled and reconstituted?

I am here today to tell you we cannot arrive at God's standard, not ever without the revelation of the Holy Spirit! Christ must be revealed in our hearts. It’s by the His Spirit we are able to ascend the mountains of God!  Thank you Yashua!

Yashua tells us: "When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He shall guide you into all the truth", if we could get there by our own intelligence than we would not need the Holy Spirit.

This is something spiritual. "God is Spirit; they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth " - spirit and truth go together. Only what is spiritual, what is of God, is truth - only that!

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us [you and me] by His Son. (Hebrews 1:1,2 ESV)

His Word says that in times past God spoke "in many ways," not only in different portions, but in different manners. It would take too long for us to go back to the Old Testament to see all the manners in which God spoke. He spoke by a thousand different means: sometimes by words and sometimes by acts. The manners in which he spoke were indeed "diverse." However, the statement here is that at the end He speaks in one way, one all-inclusive way, and that is in His Son, Yahshua.

God's Son is His one inclusive way of speaking at the end. On the one side, no one is going to get anything from God apart from Jesus Christ. God will absolutely refuse to speak other than in His Son. If you want to know what God wants to say to you, you have to come to His Son. On the other side, in Jesus Christ we have all that God ever wants to say....

Yes, we have far more of God's speaking in His Son than we have yet come to understand. This is why His Spirit is pouring out to us right now. We have nothing apart from Jesus Christ, and we need nothing apart from Him. You can read everything that has ever been written on Christian doctrine and still be the same man or woman.

God's ways are very practical, and He teaches us by experience.

As we all know the experience or maybe you are just finding this out but this journey is sometimes very difficult and is called "the training of sons.

God is still speaking in His Son, and His speaking is in order to get companions of His Son. Companions of this heavenly calling and of Christ will go into the hard school and have to learn many hard lessons, but in learning them they will come to understand how great is their inheritance in the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus just impress upon our hearts again with these things!

For Words from The Father who has spoken to my heart, please check out my “Sipping with The Father” post entitled “555

Tomorrow, may we all win this battle, but for today I want to share the words of the great poet John O’Donohue, who challenges me to get out of the lowlands and reach for the stars.

Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back. From then on, you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again let you linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise or the threat of danger hold you back from striving toward the summit of fulfillment.”

I pray you are encouraged by my post!

Seleh,

Angela
