REFUGE IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE

And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor [detest] them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.’ Leviticus 26:44

The destruction of the Assyrians is that final step of war which YHW
Y will one day bring about, destroying the weapons of war, or bu
rning them upon the battlefield, as Isaiah predicted (
Psalm 9:5Isaiah 2:4Micah 4:3 Zechariah 9:10.)

This week I was shown The Book of Nahum is not a distant history of ancient Assyria but a high-definition blueprint of how —the Divine—deconstructs a world that has turned from its Creator.

I have studied the wickedness of the Assyrians [steps] many times, but it wasn’t until I received a vision by The Lord that I began to associate The Book of Nahum with the process.

The Assyrian Empire was given a reprieve during Jonah’s generation (c. 760 BC). However, by Nahum’s generation (c. 630 BC), their rebellion had reached its peak. The prophet Nahum, Hebrew for Nachum which means "Comfort" or "Consolation” delivers a divine message of judgment against the oppressor. Nahum is a source of comfort for the oppressed people of Judah. His prophecy was the final "notice" and sign before the total destruction of Nineveh in 612 BC.

The prophet Nahum emphasizes that God is a warrior who avenges His people and does not tolerate evil, ultimately bringing down arrogant empires like Assyria and their cruel actions and the hope for those who suffered under their rule.

"The Lord is slow to anger... and will not at all acquit the wicked." Nahum 1:3

I quickly recognized the message here by YHWY. We are being told systems that rejects the King, His Chariot comes to bring the fire of desolation. Nahum 3. However, for the Elect who eventually become the “Remnant” according to the Book of Isaiah is a small group of Israelites** who will survive the invasion of the Assyrian army under Tiglath-Pileser III (Isaiah 10:20–22).

The mountains may melt and the rocks may be blown-up, but the Kingdom of God remains unshakable and the remnant is promised  “Refuge in the day of trouble” by Yahweh ((Nahum 1:7; Isaiah 11:11–16).

My Vision

I am looking out in a grassy battlefield where the sun is darkened by a haze and I am surrounded by mountains and the river is dried up. I set down my bow and quiver to rest on a massive rock. I step forward and I am no longer in a field but a lush green vineyard where red and purplish tiny berries begin to rain down upon me.

In my brief vision The "Sun" is darkened by a haze of illusions, the battlefield removes strongholds and the "Drying of the Rivers" is the ultimate sign of Desolation. A nation that refuses to drink from the "Living Waters" of God's Word will eventually find its own "earthly rivers" (military might, wealth, and alliances) and turn into a parched wilderness.

In Nahum 1:6, it says "the rocks are thrown down by him." In Matthew 27:51, "the rocks rent." The "Rocks" represent the hard, stubborn foundations of human and religious pride. Whether it was the literal walls of Nineveh or the literal stones within the temple of believers,  the Voice of God shatters what man considers "permanent."

In my vision there were mountains all around and in Chapter 1 of Nahum, the melting (Hebrew: burden) mountains melted; now, may the hearts of the leaders melt. This is the Judicial Terror that Jesus described when He said men's hearts would fail them for fear (Luke 21:26).

The haze is a lingering Fire of Indignation “Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

This battlefield is the Pruning of the Vine: in Isaiah 18:5—the "marred vine branches." This is the DNA of the Remnant and the "True Vine" to be established, the "Excellency" of the old, nationalistic, and apostate vine had to be "emptied out." The Emptying of 586 BC and AD 70: This "Emptying" happened when Babylon took the vessels of the Temple, and it happened again when Rome took the Menorah and the riches to the Arch of Titus. The "Excellency" of the physical was removed to make way for the "Excellency" of the Spirit.

We must be honest with ourselves. In order to pursue YHWY’s threshold, we must put down our weapons and seek His Face. I am also sensing something more here. YWHY is asking each of us to look within right now. What do you hear? I m hearing, “Slow down, to land, to stop reaching outward for confirmation and rest upon the rock,” of Yashua.

Personally, my weapon [bow] and quiver contains selfish protection. I surrendered them for The Safety of the Rock. It’s time for the "Apostate Rocks" to thrown down so the Lord becomes a True Stronghold for those who trust Him.

When the veil falls, our sight expands sharpening discernment to see patterns everywhere. We notice old certainties dissolve, familiar motivations weaken to find self is exposed in clarity without yet possessing the stability to live from this place.

But there is no hope in anyone but Christ. We are either for him or against him, and the only time this affects our future is where are standing right now in this life. We all are living in a scarred world covered in grotesque spiritual ugliness that needs healing from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to him, “[You say to Me,] ‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts [in Me]!” Mark 9:23

Do not mistake your hyper-vigilance for maturity because it’s a transitional state that was never meant to become permanent. We cannot abide where there are shadows hiding, blocking our blessings and pampering of His Love.
  • Without integration, discernment overheats.
  • Without rest, clarity becomes corrosive and the soul stays braced as though danger still lurks behind every veil.
  • Authority does not form in this environment, only fatigue.
It’s time to live moment by moment in union to allow the authority of Christ to emerge naturally once the soul finally learns how to rest in what it knows by reorientation. The true self must learn how to exist without illusion, without borrowed meaning, and without the adrenaline that once fueled our identity.

You may be discovering that while you see clearly, you do not yet feel safe, rested, or grounded. This dissonance creates confusion and, if misunderstood, can lead to burnout, cynicism, or retreat. Your awakening has revealed truth, but it does not instantly teach your soul how to carry it.

It’s time to clarify the gap.

This moment is rarely named, yet it is one of the most critical thresholds in the journey of the elect.

It addresses the instability that often follows revelation and names it correctly, not as failure, but as formation. The soul is not breaking down, it is shedding structures that can no longer support new sight. I have heard these structures or like scaffolding. Our scaffolding is not a permanent structure and must be taken down because it was only a tool for building. When they are taken down, loss is felt but it’s actually the early stage of deeper grounding. What feels like delay is frequently integration at work. What follows is not intensity but regulation to what becomes grounding. The Remnant are not preserved by fire alone, but by stillness that can hold fire without burning itself to death.

Great ready, this prelude stands as a threshold, not into more knowledge, but into rested being.

After regulation and REST, your triggers lose their leverage and control. These triggers once hijacked attention, pulling the soul into reaction before clarity could respond.

In rest, we become untriggerable. It does not mean we are becoming numb or indifferent. It means our nervous system no longer hands control to old patterns when pressure appears and we react! With grounding the old patterns are recognized without being obeyed. The "Shadows" and the "Oppressors" of the world have been removed and we are able to rest in our Great Shepard, Yahsua. Hallelujah!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalm 23

**The DNA of the Remnant:  "All Israel" (the True Israel of God) is the "Remnant" (Jews) plus the "Ingrafted Branches" (Gentiles).
