GARMENT OF THE FIREBRAND

This week, I was
forced to slow down and pay attention to every covenant, every pattern of redemption, every expression of worship, leadership, community, and kingdom that is already present in seed form in the Torah [first five books of the bible]. Again and again, I encounter the consistent way YHVH works: He forms before He sends, shapes before He entrusts, and builds deeply before He builds visibly. From the very beginning of creation to the wilderness journey, the messages all remain the same. YHVH is a Builder of order, and His purposes are established through patient formation rather than hurried achievement.

So we must not dismiss that where you are right now; there is an Order. He does not only melts wax but hardens clay. On the other hand, Yahweh clothes before He commissions and if you are waiting to feel worthy, you are only delaying His Order.

In the bible, garments often symbolize more than just clothing; they can represent our spiritual lives, our actions, and our relationships with Yahweh and with one another.  The Hebrew word ADDERETH is used 12 times in the Old Testament, as a special garment or mantle that denotes status, wealth, or divine calling. To strip someone of their garment was to remove legitimacy. To clothe them was to authorize them.

We recognize that clothing in scripture is never cosmetic; it is governmental. Mantles are the garments of Glory for God’s anointed sons and daughters. Kings and priests are bestowed with mantles. Prophets have mantles. The Lord God clothes us in mantles that possess glorious attributes of God to us. Prophets were known by their garments and mantles. Elijah possessed a mantle, which was passed to Elisha. Samuel also was identified with his mantle. John the Baptist wore camel’s hair. Joshua’s garment is a coveted spoil of war. In 1 & 2 Kings, it is exclusively the prophet's mantle, central to the narratives of Elijah and Elisha. Even Esau's hairy appearance is considered his garment. God commanded Moses, “You shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2).

Garments carried function, authority, and access. We are told that In Eden, “they were both naked…and were not ashamed” (Genesis 2:25). Shame entered when clothing was lost.

“See, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes” (Zechariah 3:4).

After the priest’s rich robe comes the turban a sacred headdress.“Let them put a clean turban on his head” (Zechariah 3:5). That turban bore the inscription: HOLINESS TO THE LORD (Exodus 28:36)

In the visions of the prophet Zechariah, we are shown the future glorified church. This is the scene where Joshua stands in filthy garments as high priest before the angel of the Lord while satan stands at his right to accuse not only him, but Job and all men before God (Revelation 12:10).

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. Zechariah 3:1

This is a very important fact to consider. Joshua, in his role as High Priest, is serving as the representative of the entire group of Jews who have returned to Jerusalem, built a new temple, and established a new priesthood. Satan’s accusation is undoubtedly that this group isn’t spiritually qualified to be doing such things.

We can read into it —-as if Satan is saying, “C’mon God, Do you mean to tell me that You are going to bring this corrupted, morally impure fellow back under your protection and blessing?” And Joshua, standing there clothed in filthy garments, certainly looks “guilty as charged” concerning the accusation (Zechariah 3:3). You see, the garments of Israel’s High Priest were supposed to be holy and undefiled (Exodus 28:1-4).

And what’s the verdict? Joshua’s garments were not mildly stained but filthy and The Lord decided in favor of him. He was not chosen because he was clean. He was cleaned because he was chosen.

And Jehovah said to Satan, Jehovah rebuke thee, O Satan; and Jehovah who chooseth Jerusalem rebuke thee. Zechariah 3:2

God does not just ignore filth. The Lord described Joshua as “a burning stick snatched from the fire.”  His sin is removed and Joshua is forgiven, vindicated, restored and recommissioned. Hallelujah!

Is not this a brand saved out of the fire? Zechariah 3:3.

And ever since, Satan’s primary strategy has been to accuse & expose every follower of Christ.

But the Lord has plans for you…

Thus Says The Lord:

For years —— satan stood next to you opposing you, not always with lies but half truths, editing narratives that were crafted to make you appear as something you are not.

You have been hurt and yet you have learned to stay calm through the storms.

Your detachment without coldness in your present conflicts gives you authority over your emotions and has built quiet strength within you.

This government of peace is ceremonial.

Like Joshua who stood before me in filth, soiled, covenantal & spiritual failed garments, you too have found the only legal defense —— to not deny such accusations but to stand in the fire as my “Firebrand” until I come to dress you.

I rescued Joshua to show a nation that I can cleanse the high priest, and therefore cleanse my people.

I allow the fire ——-not to disqualify you, but to authenticate you.

Watch now as I  “pluck you out of the fire” and into unusual favor, not because your past has changed but because your garment has.

It’s been the enemies plan to strip you and shame you but your redress is like Elijah’s and comes as a mantle.

My plan is to clothe you and commission you.

You are about to discover the mantle you gird has given you not only latitude but a wide scope that out-ranks your enemies chariots because you have been Called.

My Firebrand get ready to Govern in my Name.

Listen… to embrace a life as a firebrand is to accept the mantle of a spiritual warrior, recognizing that the path of holiness inevitably leads you through battlefields where God's truth confronts the enemy's lies.

I feel like this message is for those who have tried everything to find genuine healing and purpose. It’s serious time now and not through religion but through radical surrender and conservation that you step into the fire. Let it brand you until all that is left is Christ. I pray The Holy Spirit comes to speak to your heart right now —-and not only clothe you but brand you in your Call.

Prayer:

I declare that election overrides accusation.

I am chosen, therefore I am defended.

Every voice opposing my future is silenced by divine choice.

(Zechariah 3:4)

I declare that shame, false identity, and internalized failure are removed in the name of Jesus.

I declare right now what has polluted me no longer clothes me.

I receive my new garments to be clothed in clarity, favor and divine authority in Christ Jesus.

I am fully dressed for where Yahweh is taking me.

I declare that my glory is restored and shame no longer defines my story.

I declare my mind is crowned, my identity consecrated, my calling reinstated in the Name of Yashua.

I declare redress. What was taken by the enemy is restored. (1 Kings 18:46)

I declare supernatural acceleration through proper mantling by the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 54:17)

I reject cultural verdicts. (Zechariah 3:7)

I declare readiness for responsibility. (Isaiah 61:10)

I am clothed, commissioned, and confident.

I am no longer naked but fully protected by Yahweh in the Holy Name of Yashua Hamashiach, Amen.

More To study….

There is much in-depth here to study for those of you seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord, I want to encourage you to search out the priest’s garment.

The tunic, which covers most of the priest's body, atones for killing,

The pants atone for sexual transgressions.

The turban, worn on the head, atones for pride.

The belt, wound about the body and worn over the heart, atones for "sins of the heart" - improper thoughts.

The breastplate atones for errors in judgment.

The ephod atones for idolatry.

The robe atones for evil speech. The High Priest's crown atones for arrogance.

Kings were mantled with sheep skin to identify the royal and divine aspect of the office Kingship. Priests wore vesture garments with an ephod to identify their priesthood. Kings were mantled with sheep skin to identify the royal and divine aspect of the office. The lion and rams skin dyed red were also skins and cloths anointed kings would wear as royal and regal apparel.

The priests wore holy garments for glory and beauty. Made of gold, blue, purple, scarlet red and fine linen. The Priests garments included, the ephod, the breastplate, the robe, turban and gold plate.

The breastplate- the Urim and Thummim are the stones of Lights and The perfection of Christ’s glory and immutable counsel in revelation of His Divine Will. Carried precious stones. Our breastplate of righteousness carries stones that radiate and reflect the Glorious nature of God in Christ. The precious stones are the reflective gems that radiate and reflect the splendor and majesty of God.

Robe- with a golden bell (the gifts of the Spirit) and pomegranates (fruit of the Spirit). A sound is heard when we minister. The robe is our righteous covering with God. A gold plate- Holiness to the Lord. This is the designation of our consecration.

The crown is the insignia of our royalty in Christ as anointed kings. For the sons of God, mantles are the royal insignia and prophetic garment that speaks of the call and anointed office.
