BANQUETING HOUSE
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, Hebrews 6:19
We found a beautiful poetic open door last week around the King’s feast found in the first chapter of the book of Esther.
“And they gave them to drink in vessels of gold, the vessels being diverse one from another, and royal wine in abundance, according to the bounty of the King.” (Esther 1:7)
This royal feast was held in the courts garden of the king’s palace. In the Song of Solomon we are told “Eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.” This court is referred to as the “banqueting house,” or “house of wines.”
As we enter the banquet house itself, we find curtains of fine linen, white and green, and blue, fastened with cords of purple silk, to silver rings on pillars of marble. The couches were fashioned of gold and silver, placed upon a pavement of mosaic marble of mother of pearl. This beautiful picture in Esther is symbolic of the beauty and refreshing rest for our soul beyond the curtain found in the King’s house.
The King chose only golden vessels for the royal feast. These vessels have been put through the fire, melted and molded and fashioned by His own hand, thoroughly purged and prepared.
“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.” (Matthew 26:29)
What suffering and tribulation each one has known. What anguish and pain by refining fires.
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:20, 21)
And each one stood upon His Word, “He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me I shall come forth as gold.”
The willing-ones who come forth for their refinement are freely given a feast of abundance according to the bounty of the King. While none were compelled to eat or drink. “And the drinking was according to the King’s order, without compulsion.” (Esther 1:8)
This wonderful poetic feast is about the indwelling by the spirit of Yahweh. We find His Wine at The Lord Yah’s table a metaphor for the Holy Spirit.
This is an invitation while you still have time, come to Him, dine with Him, drink Him in deeply, behold Him, abide in Him, and live by Him.
The King adores those who are able to taste and sip with The King, “Drink, yea, drink deeply beloved” !
The poetic wine underscores what Paul refers to as the things the eye hasn’t seen and ear hasn’t heard to reveal the mysteries of the Kingdom.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Cor 2:13
After we are born-again for a while, we find living by Christ’s divine life is not easy. In fact, reading about it and living it in the face of temptation, pressure and adversity are two very different things. Paul’s talks about it in Romans 7:15: “for what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.”
The flesh is hostile to God, unable to please Him, incapable of obeying God’s commandments, and is permeated with death (see Rom. 8:6-8).
Pay close attention to the “I wills” in these verses found in Ezekiel who prophesied long before Jesus was born. Specifically, God is saying, I will give you a new heart,
Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. (Ezek. 36:26-27)
Just as people receive wine in celebration, Holy Spirit’s presence, like wine, provides life to our spirit to produce a new heart full of fruit in our character.
This Banquet House feast is not for those still feeding themselves with stale, moldy and tasteless bread found in the highways and by-ways of worldliness, man-made philosophies and doctrines of religion.
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14
I’m convinced this is the reason many believers are overcome by the world, the flesh, and the devil is they don’t really know by revelation who dwells within them.
You see, God knows the utter corruption of our flesh, and the only solution is to impart His dead-raising, universe-creating life into our spirit. He does this by putting our flesh to death by the power of His Holy Spirit. His Spirit comes to gently apply the cross to our self soulish life.
Without the full indwelling or wine of the spirit we are governed by how we feel and our desires drive our lives unable to showcase Christ to a world desperate for true love, peace, joy and hope. 1 Corinthians 3:3.
It is difficult to realize that many who come to the Lord’s table will go away empty because their soul is cluttered and unable to receive. They hear whispers keeping them chained to earth like “this is not biblical, I wasn’t able to look for this is unholy”.
So while the King was feasting with his subjects, Vashti, a type of carnal hindrance was also feasting many at her table. “Also Vashti the queen made a feast.”
The King commanded that she come to His feast, but she refused to do so, because of this she was set aside, and lost her right to reign with Him.

The Lord is so hungry for our time that He wants nothing to take His place. Our King of Glory is calling us to a great feast to show His “riches of His glorious Kingdom, and the honor of His excellent majesty.”
If you can get this, it will radically change your life.
The vessels of gold [you and me] are being placed upon the table, ready for His Outpoured wine,“Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.”
You already have everything you need to live a godly life.
You already have everything you need to live by Christ’s divine life.
You already are a partaker of the divine nature in your spirit.
You already have divine power working mightily within you.
This means you are invited to feast with The Lord and this includes meat not the milk like Jesus refers to when He spoke of “babes,” and I thank The Father that He’s hidden these things from the wise and prudent.
His feast must take place before His great worldwide Harvest feast of ingathering.
The Lord’s own royal line, the Kingdom saints, are now being prepared to rule and reign with Him, when the Kingdom of Heaven is openly established on the earth.
YAH gives a “Preview,” as it were, of the riches and power and glory of that reign. They are to “taste of the powers of the age to come.”
I encourage you to feast upon YAH’s Word as you visualize sitting in His Banqueting House, resting on his luxurious couches while reading the book of Esther as The Holy Spirit leads.
As we drink His Wine we learn the deep things in God’s Heart. He will transmit this revelation directly to your spirit causing you to intuitively know The mysteries of the Kingdom that have been so long hidden, are now being unlocked, and revealed to humble, simple-hearted believing ones.
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” (Ephesians 5:18)
Within your spirit, you can sense the burden of this message pulsating the beat of God’s heart for you to Turn from your own Vashti Table (soul-life) to be seated with Christ.
At this junction pray to allow your soul to give Christ the Lordship and allow your spirit to become the leader over your soul empowered by the Holy Spirit. The spiritual believer governed by the indwelling Spirit of Christ lives the abiding life and produces an abundance of Christ like fruit for all to see and be blessed!
It is through His great feast, YAH will assemble His own to His Table, where He will feed them upon the riches of His Living Word, and give them wine to drink of the Kingdom.
Tragically, if you are ignorant of Christ dwelling in you and how He has transformed your spirit, you will remain a carnal Christian, characterized by the mixture of flesh and soul with the spirit. You will live in spiritual poverty.
Here’s a vital truth I have learned: Dead religion keeps the treasure in you buried, making you poor. But divine revelation unearths the treasure in you, making you rich. Hallelujah!
I expect those reading this will accept The Father’s invite to attend the feast with Our King! For The Kingdom of God is at hand! Under Holy Spirit’s supervision, the time has come to enter the Banquet House to rejoice in your own Personal revival to experience God’s Kingdom Glory! Hallelujah!
Prayer with Me -
Thank You, Lord, for choosing me and causing me to come into Your courts, for You have said that we enter into Your courts with praise, into the courts of the Living God; and that we may dwell in Your holy Temple, that Temple not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. You have said that we may have access, O Lord, into the Holy Place of the Most High.
I will be glad and rejoice in Thee, O Lord, No matter how I feel. I will praise you and thank you with all my heart for I know that Jesus is real. Your Word is real and Your love is Oh, so real!
So I come before you in gladness and rejoice in You, O Lord, No matter how I feel. “Let the high praises of God be in their mouths.” (Psalm 149:6)
Father, I thank you for designing my spirit, souls and body to work together in your divine order where my spirit is given authority over my soul to follow the Holy Spirit in unity to join the feast to rule and reign with you Christ in heaven and on earth!
I ask your Glory to COME Father, I WECOME YOUR HOLY SPIRIT TO POUR OUT HIS Wine in Your Abundant POWER and let YOUR Will be done on earth as it is in heaven in the Mighty Name of JESUS. AMEN.
