The world is passing away! This new era has the enemy using our surroundings to torture, exhaust and defeat us from the things God is ready to birth!

Give no place to the enemy in your life.

I want to share a dream that become my warning.

MY DREAM

I was given dream a week ago about a very large snake all twisted around a branch in the jungle. I don’t remember ever dreaming about a snake except one other time and it slathered into my employees ear. In this dream, I stopped in front of the snake and it stretched out towards me and I knew it had the strength of a boa constrictor so I simply turned and walked away!

When I awoke, I began worshipping the Lord and I was lead to Acts 9 and then Act 16.  

I asked the Lord, what was the assignment of this snake in my dream and I heard for the second time this week, 2 Corinthians 1:9, “Indeed, we personally had a death sentence within ourselves, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead”.

What has become an idol is always the enemy’s entry point. Search every fox hole within your soul for God is wanting to bring you into a season of prosperity [unity] with the Holy Spirit.

This python represents the Jezebel spirit. She not only blocks any attempt to access The Voice of God, but wants us to rely on ourselves and not God. Through this, she will draw on the spirit of divination, which is defined in Acts chapter 9 as the spirit of Python (Strong’s G4436). 

Her attack method is actually similar to that of the python snake in the jungle. It’s subtle but deadly as it attempts to lull its victim into a place of unpreparedness, perhaps even waiting for its prey to fall asleep. It will then proceed to slowly squeeze the life out of you. It cuts off life, it cuts off joy, it cuts off provision. It cuts off anything and everything one needs to accomplish God’s plan. 

God wants us prepared for His outpouring.

Today ask the Lord, "Where are the places that this spirit has gained access to my life?"

Ask the Lord to show you where the enemy has sent her and has been trying to come at your inner circle, your relationships, your finances, your Godly assignment, your marriage. Then shut those doors!

If we have allowed this python spirit access to our soul then our actions will be ungodly! In my case, I had fallen pray to man’s expectations. It’s very hard to battle Jericho everyday in the flesh but if I take the time to seek the Lord I am protected from my own emotions. 

It’s easy to forget that God will FIGHT the battle for us. Once I realized this open door, I quickly repented and the heaviness I was experiencing left me instantly and I could sit again in the presence of The Lord. (ACTS 16:4)

I was shown my open door to the python/ Jezebel spirit was through disappointment making me a victim to it’s prey.

I knew the reason I was not bitten in my dream was due to my repentance before going to bed. Can we let this be a reminder that being offended by others is a sneaky fox hole for the enemy’s access. We must continually look inside ourselves for open gates that might give this spirit access to our soul.

What does the apostle Paul says; “Not I, but Christ liveth in me.” The two truths go together. First “Not I,” then, “but Christ liveth in me.”

Christians, look at your own lives in the light of the words of Paul. Do you find there self-will, self-pleasing? 

Remember this: every time you please yourself, you deny Jesus. 

It is one or other. 

We cannot please ourselves and Jesus too! We must please Him only, and deny self, or look out for self-confidence, self-trust, self-effort, self-dependence aka the JEZEBEL spirit’s open gate! 

Simply obedience in everyday life is the highest spirituality. I feel like everyday life of spirituality has been removed and believers feel like they have to do something extreme to be holy and spiritual. We don’t have to leave our everyday life to be a missionary. We can make our life our mission field. I can battle Jericho every day at work with the Spirit of the Lord within me! Thank you Jesus!

If we focus on Jesus and walk in our everyday life with a pure heart, then you will eventually hear The Lord speak! 

Repeat that….Our posture of a pure heart opens the door to the voice of The Lord. If we can’t hear God speaking …. We better repent! I taught my kids to say, “Father I repent of things I know about and the things I don’t know”. And almost immediately my kids would say Mom, I am sorry for this… or that and it would be a wonderful bonding time!

I think it comes as a surprise to many that God is described as “the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation” (2 Corinthians 1:3–4). 

As I read 2 Chronicles specifically Chapter 23 I realized that the warfare strategies for defeating this assignment are right there in God’s word.

God wants to be our comforter in the cold that surrounds us. He wants to calm our grief and distress. 

How do you receive this comfort? 

It’s as simple as drawing near to Him. His comfort is available to you right now as you read this…

Begin by telling God, “You are an awesome God!” Continue with praise like, “thank you Jesus for your sacrifice” and then sit and wait for him to respond. 

"When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and cheering the king, she went to them at the temple of the Lord. She looked, and there was the king, standing by his pillar at the entrance. The officers and the trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets, and musicians with their instruments were leading the praises. Then Athaliah tore her robes and shouted, 'Treason! Treason!'” (2 Chronicles 23:12-13)

Next, kick Jezebel out of your house [soul]! I walked around my house and rebuked her access and ask the Lord to show me where I had allegiance with this demonic spirit!

 

I then told her to “LEAVE in the name of Jesus”! Every spirit has to leave when we say GO and evict them in the name of Jesus!

"So they seized her as she reached the entrance of the Horse Gate on the palace grounds, and there they put her to death." (2 Chronicles 23:15)

Next, burn that idol within your mind and heart by the Holy Spirit’s fire! (Example: I repent for being a people pleaser because I like people to like me! I repent for wanting and thinking I deserved a larger bonus”… etc.. add what the Lord has shown you.)

"All the people went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols and killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars." (2 Chronicles 23:17)

Give no place to the enemy in your life. It may take time to drive the cold away, but Jesus will give you comfort and warmth you never dreamed possible. And then you can enjoy the blessing of spreading His comfort to others around you during this time.
