RULES TO WAR - 2nd Filling
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal” (1 Cor. 12:7).
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Joel 2:28–29
Jesus Christ will soon be returning for His church, and He does not want to come back for a church that is sick and sad and defeated. He wants to come back for a church that is glorious—winning victory after victory and setting men free by the power of God. Being spirit-filled is the only way we receive the benefits and blessings that are referred to as “fruit” that accompany each spirit-filled believer.
I will tell you how these gifts came to start functioning in my life. You may be interested to know that they were born, not in a moment of jubilation or victory in my life, but in a moment when I was downcast and almost broken, which only made me realize the greatness and majesty of God.
I came to know the thrill of having God in my own heart and life. I believe it will be exciting to you, too, as the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon you and the gifts of the Spirit begin to function in your life. What I experienced was His Fruit was brought with each new revelation of God. We don’t receive anything we can’t recognize. It’s how God designed us!
Here’s your sign you are traveling the path of being spirit-filled:
First, You Love God’s Word: The love you have for the Word of God is a love that you have never before experienced. Previously to having this love for The Bible, it seemed like a dead religious history book, and suddenly one day it came to life!
Next, is Stewardship: All of sudden you have a strong desire of stewardship that was previously unknown to you. You find yourself helping people no mater where they live in the world. The more you give, the more God gives.
Facing Up to Sin: A third fruit is the ability to face up to sin and to confess it. So many religious people try to hide from their sins by making excuses for their behavior but those spirit filled cannot carry sin. If there is sin in their lives, they just come out with it and say, “I’m sorry.” Then they receive their forgiveness and become cleansed.
Evangelistic Compassion: This tremendous fruit given by The Lord is needed today. To have an evangelistic compassion for others that is so deep and so wonderful could only come from a filling of The Lord. This love for God’s people could only be identified as a gift of the Spirit because your compassion comes from your heart.
Reaching Out to Others - Another fruit is the field of counseling. If you are spirit filled you are free to talk to people and help them because you have a spirit of counseling. You know what to say and how to help those in need in a self-less way!
Joy and Happiness that comes by singing - Singing will do a special thing for you. The Bible says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine” (Prov. 17:22). The Spirit says, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” (Phil. 4:4). You move with God and it’s evident by the joy in your heart and His Heavenly melody comes from within you.
Physical Healing: Spirit filled people witness and experience healing and if you want to hear of many outstanding experiences in healing, spend some time with people who are filled with the Spirit of God. You will hear testimonies of healings like you have never heard before.
“I (i.e. Yahshua) will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:17-18
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ (i.e. Yahshua the Messiah) His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”1 John 1:5-9
“Let my prayer be set before You as incense,The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” Psalm 141:2
And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Daniel 12:9
