THE INFLUENCE OF PERSPECTIVE

“Your love is better than wine.” Song of Solomon 1:2

Over the last few months, I have felt the Lord asking me to step back and take a good look around. We are fast approaching another presidential election and it feels very much like the last one. I heard within my spirit, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9.

When you read the above verse, you can feel the sense of monotony in Solomon’s words as He wrote these words from an earthly perspective. He saw the sun as just the sun and not a new opportunity.

Yet, when I take stock of the last 4 years, I literally want to celebrate for all that we have endured. By living above my earthly perspective, I see opportunities ahead by looking beyond what’s right in front of us knowing God creator of everything and he never stops working.

For example, when we look out into the world, nothing seems any better. In fact, everything look much much worse than it did four years ago, but God is about to put new wine into the old wine skins.

“The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day. No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins—and the wine is destroyed, and so are the skins. But new wine is for fresh wineskins.” Mark 2:20-22

It’s simple. We just have to allow and trust The Lord to move within us. We can begin by saying, “Father, take everything that brings you shame!” His new wine isn’t an overnight process… it takes time, soak in his Word every single day and loved it!

As I reflect on my new perspective, I realize that as time goes on some things stay the same but it is I who is different. Those moments of fear that I use to have have been diminished by my faith. I absolutely do not doubt for a second that God is working even when I can’t see Him.

Over time we become like Jeremiah, who considered the rising of the sun every morning to represent God’s great faithfulness (Lam. 3:23).

Do you need strengthening? Sure you do! We all need Jesus for a new perspective, but The key to your endurance is to walk by faith. Don’t wallow in self-pity. Keep moving towards disciplining your Christian faith. Practicing going to the Lord with every single details and pray for others to help diminish the severity and the length of your trials.

Are you currently going through a trial? Are God’s winds blowing hard in your life? How can I pray for you during this season?

While many of you reading this may think the coming winds are from the enemy, I know they are from the Lord. I dare you to lean into them and ask The Lord to refine you. Start by asking Him like I did, “What are you trying to teach me here in this situation?” Almost always I found it was about humility because my inner man (soul) just needed more of Jesus.

Be honest and ask yourself, what is your perspective today?

There is no meaning to Solomon’s crummy existence called life if you live only by an earthly perspective. Solomon saw only as far as the sun, not beyond it. His purpose and pursuit were “under the sun”. The movement of the planets and the patterns of wind and water are nothing to him—just endless cycles.

This new perspective can only be influenced by Jesus. Jesus told the religious Pharisees, Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17

In biblical times the word “bottle” meant something different than what the modern word would imply.A leather bottle, wineskin or bottle referred to a container made of skins to transport liquids in that time period. It was usually a bag made of goatskins, tanned with acacia bark and left hairy on the outside.

New wine or freshly squeezed grape juice would have to be placed in new bottles for storage during fermentation. In time the new wine or grape or fruit juice will automatically ferment and generate gas and exert pressure on the bottle. New skin will allow elasticity with the expanding nature of the maturing wine.

However, an old bottle will not stretch, yield, and respond to the gas pressure developed by the fermenting wine. It’s important to note, the old bottle will not stretch, it will just explode and both the bottle and wine are lost. Therefore new wine needs to be put into new bottles.

God does a similar procedure in a believer. God makes the believer a new being. He has placed in the believer a new nature or “new wine.”

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 1 Corinthians 5:17

The Word is made alive in the heart of the believer. Now it begins to grow or expand. The old mind and body cannot contain it. There is a conflict between the old and new natures providing a believer with an influenced perspective depending on which nature the believer has yielded to.

In the Epistle of Paul to the Romans, he describes it this way in Romans, Chapter 7, verse 15-16. “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate that do I.”

Later in chapter 12, verses 1 and 2, Paul writes, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”

When we surrender and yield to God, he begins to transform our minds and our conduct begins a renewing process that will only be completed once the believer reaches home. Each day new wine is placed in a changing bottle that influences our perspective of the world we live in. We need to be filled continually, I pray God will fill you with His Wine.

- - The Whisper from Yah - -

Yah is short for Yahweh and it means “The God of Power” . This is what I heard The Spirit of God whisper to my heart 💜

The wars seen in the natural are the wars on souls in the spirit. The spiritual atmosphere has moved from heaven into the natural realm so man’s eyes, ears and hearts can be moved. So many hearts are hardened and will not be made ready for my arrival without My Whirlwinds, says The Lord.

Those unwilling to bend a knee to my commands will be forced by my winds to surrender while others who come willingly will lack nothing even when great lack is upon them.

I am the strong wind blowing… Look for me, I come to the outcast waiting to be invited in, I come to the broken hearted waiting for mending, I come to the small child crying in the dark ….

Listen now my dearest darlings, the dawn is coming in spite of the shadows of fear, Come to my Mountain top, the Mountain of Suffering love for My refining fire makes way for My Voice. You can hear me on the hill top, stop doubting and wait for my instructions.

I am making mine ready for my return.

I am coming, time is short, get ready!

Be encouraged because the fire I saw in my dream was for refinement! It was raining all around me and I felt excitement! This fire comes through the Holy Spirit. I believe God’s people are about to be filled with the new wine.  Time is short — Hallelujah!

Blessings,

My DREAM - July 2024

I watched in awe as clouds of glory formed and fiery seeds of glory cracked into lightening to flood my room. Then embers of fire began falling from the Thorne of God like rain all over me. This raining fire was beautiful. It felt like sparkles on the 4th of July. I reached out with my hands and the raining embers were added to me. I immediately knew this fire was being released upon those extending their hearts to The Lord! As I began enjoying the raining fire, I woke up.
